How to Find Us

The Bison Peak Lodge is located at the geographic center of Colorado.

The lodge is located at 9000 feet of elevation in a narrow part of the Tarryall Valley between the Tarryall Mountains and the Puma Hills. The facility is located 75 miles from Colorado Springs and Denver, 60 miles from the ski slopes of Breckenridge, the historic casinos of Cripple Creek and the whitewater of the Arkansas River and just to the east of South Park.

From Denver: Follow Hwy 285 west from Denver and over Kenosha Pass. At the bottom of the pass (and in South Park) at the small town of Jefferson, turn south on County Road 77 (look for signs to Tarryall Reservoir) and proceed 21 miles. Look for the lodge on your right, just across from the cabins and store at the Ute Trail River Ranch.

From Colorado Springs: Travel west on Hwy 24 over Ute Pass and then to Lake George. Just west of Lake George, turn right (north) on County Road 77 (look for sign to Tarryall Reservoir) and proceed 21 miles. Look for the lodge entrance on your left, right across from the Ute Trail River Ranch.

Driving time is about 1.5 hours from both Denver and Colorado Springs.
