Food!

Hearty Fare for Most Every Taste

Play hard and eat well is our motto! We take great pride in our meals and put out a lot of effort to provide health conscious natural dishes that taste unbelievably good-- yes it is possible to eat well and to eat healthy.

Lodge accommodations include 3 meals per day served either in the Dining Room or on the Deck (meals are not typically included in Ute Creek House rentals, although they can be arranged for an additional charge).

Our fare is a mix of interesting Southwestern, Mexican and Rocky Mountain cuisine utilizing natural, free range meats and fresh organic produce to the extent possible--- we are located a ways from town and just do the best we can! Menus can be designed to suit your particular tastes or dietary needs with sufficient notice.

Some of our dinner specialties include:

Breakfasts are typical FULL mountain breakfasts with eggs to order, biscuits, bacon, sausage, oatmeal pancakes, cereal, fresh seasonal fruit, PEET's tea and locally roasted coffee--- guaranteed to start your day off with a bang.

Lunch's are light and can be prepared to take with you if you're heading out into the field.

Chef Lin Cameron Guest Chefs add variety to our day to day offerings and join us regularly. Guest Chef Lin Cameron is seen here working on supper! Lin brings years of varied experience as a natural grocer, chef, backcountry chef and restaurant owner. She has been joining us for a variety of programs and projects each year since 1992. Homemade breads, desserts, and interesting combinations of downhome country and ethnic foods are her specialty.
