Bison Peak Lodge
Rooms and Facilities
The Bison Peak Lodge itself was completed in 1999 on the site of the previous OWA Base Camp Lodge. The 4000 square foot building is extremely energy efficient, utilizing Rastra recycled foam/concrete forms finished with stucco, aspen and local beetle kill Ponderosa Pine to create a simple and comfortable mountain retreat looking out onto the spectacular red rock slopes of the Tarryall Mountains. The lodge consists of 6 private bedrooms (2 queens, 3 twins and one triple bunk), 4.5 baths (rooms either have private baths or shared baths depending on configuration), a bathhouse with 3 showers, full commercial kitchen, lodge office, dining room, living area with fireplace and library (filled with collectible adventure books, field guides, local history, photos, maps, satellite TV, guest computer and wireless internet.
Lodge room rates include 3 hearty meals each day served in the lodge dining room.
